Privacy & ad tracking

Last updated 28 October 2026. Approved by the licensee.

How we handle the details you give us on this site, and the tools that measure our ads.

Who we are

This site is run by Century 21 Coast to Coalfields (C21 MMC Pty Ltd, ABN 15 673 818 696), Shop 5, 68 Sydney Street, Mackay QLD 4740. Licensee: C21 MMC PTY LTD, licence no. 4761795. In this notice, "we" and "us" means that business.

What we collect

When you fill in a form on this site we collect what you type in: your name, mobile number, email address (optional), and, depending on the form, a property address, your selling timeframe or rental situation, your message, and whether you ticked the consent boxes. We also record which page you used and the advertising campaign that brought you here (for example "utm_campaign" values in the link, and Meta's click ID), plus a random event ID used to avoid counting the same enquiry twice.

We do not ask for, and you should not send us, information about your age, gender, family status, health, religion, ethnicity or other sensitive matters.

Why we collect it

To respond to your enquiry: to arrange an appraisal, send you information about a property, book an inspection, or talk to you about property management. To measure how our Facebook and Instagram ads perform, and to show ads for homes and our services to people who have visited these pages.

Meta (Facebook and Instagram) pixel

We advertise on Facebook and Instagram. This site uses the Meta pixel, code supplied by Meta Platforms, Inc. When you visit, the pixel can tell Meta which page you viewed, whether you clicked through to a full listing, tapped to call, text or email, or sent an enquiry. Meta can link this to your Facebook or Instagram account if you are logged in. We use it to measure our ads and to show ads for homes and our services to people who have shown interest.

We do not send your name, email, phone number or address to Meta. We only send the type of event (for example "Lead" or "View content"), the property reference, headline and suburb, and the type of enquiry. Our opening page at century21coasttocoalfields.com.au records a page view with the Meta pixel and Google Analytics before passing you on to mackay.century21.com.au.

Personalised property management links

We sometimes send landlords a link to our property management e-book that includes their name, property address or our rent appraisal, so the page can show them. Your browser shows these on the page and removes them from the address bar before any tracking tool loads; they are not sent to Meta or Google. If you send the form on that page, they are included with your enquiry.

Meta Conversions API

We may also send the same events to Meta from our web server (Meta's "Conversions API") so they are measured more reliably. This is currently switched off. If we switch it on, each server event will carry the same event ID as the browser event so Meta counts it once, and will include the page address, your IP address, your browser type (user agent) and Meta's own browser cookie IDs ("_fbp" and "_fbc"). It will not include your name, email, phone number or address unless we first update this notice; any such details would be hashed (scrambled) before sending.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, a service from Google LLC, to count visits and see which pages and ads bring enquiries. It uses cookies (such as "_ga") and records things like the pages you view, the device and browser you use, your approximate location (city level, worked out from your IP address, which Google Analytics does not store) and events such as sending a form or tapping to call. We have turned off Google Signals and ad personalisation in Google Analytics, so it is not used to build advertising profiles of you. Google may process this information in the United States.

Cookies

The Meta pixel and Google Analytics use cookies and similar technology in your browser. Our own pages store the advertising campaign details in your browser for the current session only, and remember whether you have opted out. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can control ads on Facebook and Instagram in your Meta "Ad preferences" settings.

Opting out of ad tracking and analytics

You can switch off the Meta pixel, Google Analytics and any server-side events for this browser. We store a small cookie ("c21_optout") so that the choice sticks. If you clear your cookies, you will need to opt out again.

Your current setting shows here when JavaScript is on.

How your form is sent to us

Forms on this site are sent to our email through FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), a third-party form service. FormSubmit receives what you type in, processes it on servers we understand are located in the United States, and emails it to us. The site itself is hosted by Cloudflare, which may process technical information such as your IP address to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the page loads. Property photos and agent photos are loaded from Century 21's servers (static2.century21.com.au and mackay.century21.com.au).

Overseas disclosure

Because of the services above, your information is likely to be disclosed to and processed in the United States of America (Meta, Google, FormSubmit and Cloudflare), and possibly other countries where those providers operate. Those overseas recipients may not be bound by the Australian Privacy Principles in the same way we are.

SMS and email, and how to unsubscribe

We will only contact you about your enquiry if you tick the first box on the form. We will only send you property news and similar listings if you also tick the optional second box. Every marketing message identifies us and tells you how to unsubscribe. To unsubscribe, reply STOP to an SMS, use the unsubscribe link in an email, or contact us at [email protected] or on 07 4837 1788. We act on unsubscribe requests within 5 working days.

Who else sees it

Your enquiry goes to our office and the agent or property manager handling it. We do not sell your information. We only pass your details to our related businesses, Cutting Edge Finance (home loans) and Estate Plaza Body Corporate Management, if you ask us to. We may share it where the law requires, or with service providers who help us run our business.

Automated decisions

We do not use computer programs on this site to make decisions about you that significantly affect your rights or interests. Every enquiry is read and handled by a person.

Access and correction

You can ask to see or correct the information we hold about you by emailing [email protected] or calling 07 4837 1788.
